In an ever-changing world, evolving and staying ahead of trends is vital for success. Architecture and interior design industry is no exception. OLT DESIGN, known for its bespoke solutions and client-centric designs, has recently redefined its brand to better align with its new vision.

To understand the driving forces behind the changes, we sat down with Tetiana Oliinyk, the visionary founder of OLT DESIGN, to talk about the inspirations behind their recent rebranding, the essence of their personalized approach, and how they manage to stay innovative in a competitive market.

– How would you describe the work at OLT DESIGN in three words?

– Tailor-made. Journey. Team

‘Tailor-made’ reflects how we handle each project. Every client and project is unique, so we create designs specifically tailored to their needs.

‘Journey’ signifies that we value the process as much as the outcome. Life is what happens to you when you bring your projects to life. And we strongly believe that we should do our best so that clients like the journey with us.

And this brings us to the ‘Team’. We choose our companions in the journey of work wisely. They are the best of the best in their fields, passionate about what they do.

– What is the key to creating tailor-made interiors and architecture?

– For homes, I would name the personality of the client as the cornerstone for an interior or architecture. We dive deep into their needs, passions, and challenges. We spend a lot of time understanding their background, family and their vision for the future before we start designing. Clients come to us because they want something unique that no one else has. It’s challenging but also incredibly rewarding because we’re creating bespoke homes that clients and their loved ones will enjoy for many years.
For commercial interiors and architecture, the focus shifts to the business concept. Here, the interiors and architecture need to reinforce the concept, blending and maintaining balance between aesthetics, branding and functionality to create a cohesive and appealing environment.

– Recently you went through a rebranding. What inspired the decision?

– The decision to rebrand was driven by the rapid changes we’ve encountered in recent years. The global landscape is shifting, markets are evolving, new technologies are emerging, and industry trends are constantly changing. We took time to reflect on our past work and conducted thorough research to better understand the current market, context, and emerging trends. We reviewed our strategic goals, business processes, technologies, team expertise, and many other aspects.
Through this comprehensive assessment, we realized how much we have evolved over the past few years and recognized the need to continue growing and transforming. It became clear that our old brand identity no longer aligned with our new vision. The rebranding was a necessary step to ensure that our identity reflects who we are today and where we aim to go in the future.

– What is the idea behind the new brand identity?

– The new brand identity is about combining simplicity, customization, speed, and a return to our roots. Our company has a two-decade history in architecture, which has always been the core of our services. When we were offered an architectural scale bar as a graphic symbol for the logo, I knew it was exactly what we needed. The scale bar is a basic yet essential tool that every architect uses from the very beginning of their education. However, each project requires a different scale, making it a perfect metaphor for our approach: offering tailor-made solutions for our clients. One size does not fit all.

– How do you stay ahead of industry trends and ensure that OLT DESIGN remains innovative?

– When I was searching for a profession, I wanted one that I would never grow bored of. Architecture turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. It’s an endlessly fascinating field because it requires knowledge of so many things and combines various disciplines. In a world where everything is speeding up, staying ahead of these changes is crucial. My team and I are constantly exploring what’s happening globally. We experiment with new technologies, hunt for innovative materials, discover new talents among craftsmen and artists, and continuously seek ways to improve our work. We delve into all the fields adjacent to architecture and interior design. Each project teaches us something new, and we eagerly learn from these experiences. Moreover, our young and ambitious team of interior designers always pushes the boundaries, challenges old approaches, and offers fresh ideas. This continuous learning and adaptation ensure that OLT DESIGN remains at the forefront of industry trends and innovation.
