OLT DESIGN team was invited to create the interior design of an apartment in Kyiv, located in a modern high-rise building overlooking the historic city center. The client’s brief emphasized the need for a space that exudes coziness throughout both the warm summers and cold Kyiv winters. The interior’s main theme revolves around warm desert tones, ethnic influences, and animalistic elements, all seamlessly integrated into a modern and stylish aesthetic.
This thematic blend serves as the foundation of the project’s concept, where classic elements like moldings, coffered ceilings, and crystal accents harmonize with contemporary design elements. The sense of serene luxury is accentuated by the use of high-end natural materials such as wood, various types of marble, and stone. Additionally, the client’s preference for animal-themed artwork adds a unique touch to the apartment’s decor.
Spanning an area of 450 sq. m., the interior designers meticulously crafted a spacious living-dining area, a well-appointed kitchen, and four bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom.

Light Living Room and Dining Area
As you step from the classic hall, the living room unfolds, setting the ambiance for the entire space. Designed in light tones that seamlessly merge with the rich, warm hues of the furniture and accents of dark wood, it exudes harmony and sophistication. At the heart of the room lies a spacious seating area adorned with sofas from renowned Italian brands Trussardi and Longhi. The five-meter marble bio fireplace elegantly bridges the living room with the dining area. A unifying element in these spaces is the luxurious caramel color of the sofa and chairs, adding a touch of comfort and refinement to the atmosphere.
Kitchen with Coral Accents
The kitchen’s interior design continues the theme of blending light and warm colors: vivid coral accents and natural wood against a white backdrop. British rattan chairs enhance the ethnic character of the space, while metallic details lend a modern touch to the classic furniture.
Bedroom in Warm Desert Colors
Taking center stage is the spacious Visionnaire bed adorned with textile panels on the headboard. The warm coral-red hue complements the color scheme of the adjoining rooms. A cozy lounge area is nestled near the panoramic window, fulfilling the client’s desire for an animalistic theme reflected in the wall art, rug, wooden textured dresser, and distinctive beauty table with a chair. Classic lamps, crystal elements, and moldings add a sense of balance to the decor.
Adjacent to the bedroom is the bathroom, exuding a restrained yet classic ambiance with a neutral chair, Persian rug, and marble accents. Mirrors and white color make the room bright and spacious. The bathtub is positioned against a mirrored backdrop featuring a striking accent painting at its center.
Bedroom with a Masculine Vibe
The interior of this room is defined by its color scheme. The shades are deliberately subdued, with gray and cool blue hues replacing warm accents. A compact workspace with a small library is situated by the window.
In the bathroom, attention is drawn to the stylish contrast of black and white, accentuated by the dynamic marble pattern on the floor. Adjacent to the bathtub is a small wooden sauna seamlessly integrated into the design. The walls are adorned with Himalayan salt, known for its therapeutic benefits, adding a unique touch to the space.
Contrasting Girl’s Bedroom
This is the interior of a bedroom belonging to someone passionate about horse riding. This theme is intricately woven into various aspects of the room: a bed adorned with a contrasting pillow featuring equestrian prints, textile panels behind the headboard draped in Hermès fabric, and walls adorned with horse paintings. Even the sleek forms of the nightstands and Ludovica Mascheroni table subtly mimic the graceful lines of horses.
The sleeping area is seamlessly integrated with a cozy workspace by the window. The floor, walls, and ceiling provide a neutral and light backdrop, allowing the vibrant color accents to shine and infuse the room with its distinctive character. The deep blue hues create a striking contrast against the warm tones of the sofa.
The same contrasting color scheme seen in the bedroom extends gracefully into the bathroom furniture, harmonizing beautifully against a backdrop of pastel marble.
