The founder of the Modi beauty center aimed to create a space for women where they could dedicate time to themselves, relax, and be their true selves. That’s why she combined hair care, facial and body beauty treatments, and the opportunity to unwind and socialize in an elegant phyto-bar all in one center. The Modi beauty center is located in the Ambassador House, a residential complex of club type in the center of Kyiv, and it has its own unique story.

The name of the Modi salon is derived from the shortened name of the creator, Amadeo Modigliani. While working on the interior, we drew inspiration from his creativity and incorporated recognizable paintings of the artist that showcase diverse female beauty. In his works, Modigliani prioritized the individual, aiming to see and portray their soul rather than just their external appearance. He sought his own unique path and style. It is from this mindset that the exceptional and bold concept of this aesthetic beauty care place was born.

Light Main Hall

The main hall is a light and airy space, designed for the comfort of both clients and stylists. The interior is bright and minimalist, centered around the use of white color to evoke a sense of cleanliness and sterility, providing an ideal backdrop for a stylish and vibrant mosaic. Drawing inspiration from Modigliani’s works, the designers at OLT DESIGN created decorative elements for the main hairdressing area, such as mirrors adorned with mosaics that invite exploration and contemplation. The salon’s stylish interior seamlessly integrates with the technological equipment of the hall.

Italian Mosaic

The mosaic, inspired by the works of Modigliani, has become the signature feature of the salon. For its creation, we invited Marco Santi, a renowned master from Ravenna, the homeland of mosaic art.

Mosaic can be seen in all areas: in the reception area, in the cosmetology and massage rooms, in the phyto-bar. It is integrated into the mirror frames, forming large panels using the intarsia technique, and it embellishes the sculpture on the bar counter.

Cosmetologist’s Room and Manicure Zone

In the spaces designated for the cosmetologist’s and manicurist’s work, the dominant color is also white. The composition of decorative plates with a female portrait takes the place of the mosaic. Stylish salon furniture Maletti seamlessly integrates into the interior. Numerous cabinets provide ample storage for all the necessary tools, ensuring both functionality and the overall aesthetics of the beauty space.

Phyto-Bar for Relaxation

The salon corridors are adorned with bas-reliefs of female silhouettes inspired by Modigliani’s works, delicately illuminated by LED lights. At the end of one such corridor, visitors enter the phyto-bar. The attention is immediately drawn to a grand female sculpture on the bar counter, covered in light marble with platinum accents. In this space, the furniture is crafted from dark wood, and the mosaic theme continues in the decor. The phyto-bar offers guests a wide range of natural teas, fresh juices, and rejuvenating cocktails.
