Project Scale
1400 sq ft
The design project of the apartment in London showcases the unique approach of the OLT DESIGN team – combining different styles, creating a design with a distinctive character, and consistently surprising clients with vivid results.
Covering 1400 sq. ft, we arranged a living room seamlessly connected to the kitchen, and two bedrooms each with its own bathroom, while preserving the sense of space and lightness. Classic, modern, and ethnic elements together created an explosive mix against the backdrop of vibrant, multicultural, yet simultaneously conservative London. The color palette consists mainly of warm tones in contrast to the misty English climate. Elegant metallic details and colorful accents complement the design.
The result is a harmonious apartment, and the journey begins with the bedroom.
Bedroom with Ethnic Accents
In the main bedroom, French panels in a classic style adorn the walls, where delicate white molding contrasts with dark, highly textured veneer. Elegance permeates the design of the bed, bench, and nightstands – furniture crafted by luxury Italian factories. Alongside them, there’s a distinctly ethnic dresser and a table with an oak slab, contemporary metal fixtures, and natural textile colors. Every detail is purposefully integrated, creating a harmonious blend of classic and ethnic elements in the bedroom.
Contrasting Bedroom
This bedroom is a separate and comfortable space for guests, divided into areas for work, sleep, relaxation, and coffee conversations on the balcony. Here, alongside classic and ethnic elements, loft style is introduced: geometric shapes of furniture next to the textures of wood and stone, colorful accents of the bed and sofa standing out against the white background. Classic elements like the working desk and mirror, reminiscent of a rural ancestral estate, are juxtaposed with modern minimalist chairs and an armchair. A slightly rugged loft-style lamp contrasts with the romantic relaxation area on the balcony.
Living Room — Modern Design Against a Classic Backdrop
This project is a reconstruction where we combined a separate kitchen and a small room, creating a unified space. Hence, the unconventional shape of the room that we managed to make spacious and comfortable. Designers used the same classic background – white walls with molding and Cadorin herringbone parquet, contrasting with the ultra-modern German SieMatic kitchen, the dynamic shape of the chair, and the original light fixture. By the panoramic windows, there is a bright dining area and a cozy relaxation spot by the fireplace.
