For this 60-meter explorer yacht, we designed the main salon around a balance of Japanese minimalism and Italian sophistication. Clean architectural lines meet soft radius elements, bringing the fluid geometry of contemporary yacht design into a calm and cohesive interior.
The material palette is built around contrast. Rich red-toned wood becomes one of the defining elements, set against lighter timber, a bright ceiling, and soft neutral textiles. Light and dark leather add depth to the composition, while carefully selected darker accents in furniture and décor create visual rhythm without overwhelming the space.
A sense of lightness was particularly important to the design. Generously proportioned furniture, including the large sofa, is balanced through light upholstery, restrained forms, and an open visual composition. This allows the interior to feel comfortable and substantial while remaining airy within the yacht’s limited spatial volume.
The overall atmosphere is warm and inviting. Natural wood, leather, and tactile textiles create a sense of warmth inside, forming a subtle contrast with the cooler blues of the sea visible beyond the windows. Statement pieces, including the sculptural chandelier and contrasting chairs, complete the interior with carefully controlled accents.
